Welcome to the Accounting Dictionary

Dictionary of 4,400+ Accounting Terms, Abbreviations and Definitions

Welcome to the Accounting Dictionary – a growing collection of over 4,400 accountancy related terms, abbreviations and definitions.

The dictionary is designed to help you understand the terms and abbreviations used every day by those of us working in the accountancy profession from ‘A list‘ through to ‘zero rating‘.

iPhone and Android Apps

screenshotDue to popular demand (over 70,000 downloads to date) we have developed and released v2.0 of both our iPhone and Android Apps. There are two versions of our App available on each platform:

  • Accounting Dictionary – Lite
  • Accounting Dictionary – Pro

Both have the same functionality with v2.0 adding the ability to work offline (i.e. no data connection required), the Lite versions are free and have discreet ads, whilst Pro are the cost of a cappuccino (we love coffee) and ad free. This effectively allows you to try before you buy i.e. install the free Lite version and if you like it upgrade to the ad free Pro version.

You can find both apps on the App Store and Google Play or just search for the app names.

More details and screenshots can be found here.
