backdate

Definition:

1. To give as the date of a document (on the actual document itself) a date that is earlier than the actual date of writing it. The verb ‘antedate’ is used with the same meaning. 2. To declare that a change made at one time in a contract, rule, procedure or law is to be treated as having been made at an earlier time.
