Definition:

abbreviation: CAPM. In portfolio theory, a symbolic model of market prices of investments (especially listed company shares) in which either the expected rate of return on, or expected risk premium of, an investment is expressed as a linear function of the expected risk premium of the market portfolio and in the function the coefficient of the market risk premium is the beta of the investment.
