in common

Definition:

used to describe ownership or holding of land by two or more persons concurrently where there is agreement between the co-owners about the proportion of the property that each owns and where the share that each owns may be disposed of separately and, in particular, if a co-owner is an individual, will form part of the estate of the co-owner after death because the interest in the property does not end with death as in joint ownership.
