Definition:

a proposal made by one person (called the ‘offeror’) to another person (called the ‘offeree’) of the terms of a contract and an indication that acceptance of the proposal by the offeree will make a contract between the offeree and the offeror. The offeror may specify the way in which acceptance must be communicated or may limit the time in which acceptance must be made.
