secret trust

Definition:

a gift of property made in the will of the donor without stating that the person who is to receive the gift is under an obligation to hold it in trust for some other person or charitable object. Called a ‘fully secret trust’ if it is to be distinguished from a ‘half-secret trust’, which is a gift made in a will mentioning that the recipient is to hold the property in trust but without naming the beneficiary of the trust.
